Our first called asked about the future of tight end Charles Clay. At 30 and with a cap savings of $4.5 million if he’s released, I’d expect the Bills to pull the trigger on that this offseason and turn to finding a cheaper replacement. We discuss some of those options in the podcast.
Next up, we get some sweet punter action as I discuss the looming 2019 offseason battle between Corey Bojorquez, the injured Cory Carter, and maybe even Colton Schmidt, who isn’t under contract past the end of the year.
We take two Twitter questions this week (remember to send yours to @RumblingsQandA) and the first is about the potential free agent Bills quarterbacks. What’s in the cards for Matt Barkley and Derek Anderson once the season is over. After that, we dive into what’s going to happen with Kyle Williams and Lorenzo Alexander when their contracts expire this offseason.
It’s a don’t-miss episode on the bye week. Call our voicemail box at (716) 508-0405 to be in next week’s episode!
