Buffalo Bills Shaq Lawson, Jacksonville Jaguars Leonard Fournette ejected for throwing punches

During the third quarter of the Buffalo Bills’ game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Blake Bortles threw a pass to Donte Moncrief. When Moncrief and Levi Wallace came down together with the football, they both held on. A scrum ensued around them and two players have been ejected.

After the play, Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette came over to get involved in the scrum and took a swing at Bills defensive end Shaq Lawson. Lawson swung back. Both were called for personal fouls and ejected following an extended bit of time to figure out if it was a touchdown. As the pair was walking through the tunnel to the locker room, they had to be separated again, cameras showed.

CBS rules analyst Gene Steratore said the call to eject the players came from New York and was conducted via replay.

It’s a big loss for the Jaguars, where Fournette had been all over the Bills running the ball today. While Lawson was the starter at defensive end, Trent Murphy can pick up the slack.

Stay tuned as the flags are flying and the tempers are running hot.
