With the NFL season nearing a close, voting has begun for the NFL Pro Bowl. Here, we begin a new series of articles making a case for multiple Buffalo Bills players to pack their bags at the end of the season for the Pro Bowl. (Unless the Bills make the Super Bowl... just saying.) We start off with kicker Stephen Hauschka who has never made it to a Pro Bowl in his career.
Why he deserves it?
It is not an exaggeration when people say that Hauschka is one of the most accurate kickers in NFL history. He ranks second all-time converting on 87.7 percent of his kicks with only the Baltimore Ravens’ Justin Tucker having him beat. This season he hasn’t lost a step either. He has converted on 94 percent of his kicks this season missing just one all the way back in Week one and Hausch-money has a long of 54 yards. Stephen has also failed to miss an extra point on the season. Another stat that jumps out is that he is tied for the league lead with four field goals made of over 50 plus yards. His five attempts in that category are second in the league showing the faith that the coaching staff has in him. Earlier this year, Hauschka won AFC Special Teams Player of the Week against the Jets for converting two field goals and five extra points in the game. The last reason, and perhaps the most important reason, why Stephen deserves to make the Pro Bowl is because his wife said so.
PSA: Steve has never been to a Pro Bowl despite being the 2nd most accurate kicker in NFL history let’s change that this year!!
