After yet another blowout loss endured by the Buffalo Bills, courtesy of the Chicago Bears, fans of the team can begin to focus on the premiere position the team will enjoy in the 2019 NFL Draft. If fact, if the season ended today, the Bills would be in possession of the fourth overall pick, as was the case last week.
Here’s where the top six spots in the draft currently stand, along with the accompanying record for each team:
1. New York Giants (1-7)
2. Oakland Raiders (1-7)
3. San Francisco 49ers (2-7)
4. Buffalo Bills (2-7)
5. Arizona Cardinals (2-6)
6. Cleveland Browns (2-6-1)
Despite the Bills remaining in fourth place after Week 9, the future schedule looks favorable entering Week 10. The Giants play the 49ers on Monday Night Football this coming Monday, which could result in Buffalo leapfrogging over San Francisco for third place, or a three-way tie for the second pick. Then, the following week, the Raiders face-off against the Arizona, which should help provide more clarity.
A dark-horse for the first overall pick at this point may be those Cardinals, whose future schedule looks downright intimidating. It’s difficult to image them picking up another win after their game against Oakland.
