The Buffalo Bills look to jump into second place in the AFC East today, as they square off against the Miami Dolphins. Buffalo could be 5-7 with a victory today, which seems fairly remarkable given their 2-7 start and the struggles their offense faced early in the season.
With rookie quarterback Josh Allen at the helm, Buffalo’s offense looked much better last week than it had with Derek Anderson and Nathan Peterman at the helm. Backup quarterback Matt Barkley led Buffalo to its greatest offensive output, a 41-point outburst against the New York Jets, but the rookie has given fans plenty of hope in his time this year. If veteran running back LeSean McCoy can have the kind if success he did in Buffalo’s last divisional game, the Bills will probably be celebrating a victory this afternoon.
The Dolphins began the year with three straight victories, but they have since lost 6 of their last 8 games overall. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill returned from inury last week, throwing for 204 yards and 2 touchdowns, but the Dolphins were unable to fend off a late comeback from the Indianapolis Colts.
This is your first half open thread, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy yourselves, and go Bills!
