Best Case Scenario for Bills drafting a QB

Free agency will sort things out and shed light on what may happen...
From top to bottom...

1).Denver sign Cousins, Cleveland Picks Allen #1, NGY/Colts are both "more likely than not" going to pass on a QB. Jets move up one to take Darnold (costing them capital and hurting them in the long run). Rosen, Mayfield are still on the board with several teams coming up that don't want/need a QB. In this scenario, the next few picks don't need a QB and I wouldn't even be shocked to see Mayfield drop into the mid teens. Buffalo ships #21 and #56 and change to get Mayfield (pick in mid teens). DT Payne with #22 and grab an interior OL with 2nd rounder.

1b) Switch Jets/Broncos. Jets land Cousins in Free Agency. Browns pick Allen, Broncos pick Mayfield, Darnold/Rosen fall...ect). The QBs are mostly interchangeable in the above scenarios depending on who you prefer. These are actually fairly realistic scenarios...

Cleveland signs Cousins. NYG/INDY pass on QBs, Cleveland trades pick #4 to Bills. Would cost a lot obviously but if that's why they acquired all those picks then might as well use them. OR Jets/Broncos pick the two they like and #3 falls down further costing the Bills less to go up and get him.

In summation.. we need Cleveland to either land Cousins or draft Allen #1 for the bills to have a shot at the top 3 QBs.

Worst case scenario... Cousins signs with Vikings, Cleveland drafts Darnold, Denver drafts Mayfield, Jets draft Rosen. Buffalo gets DT Payne and OC Price (two VERY good players at need positions) but isn't able to secure a QB.

I think in that scenario I would make a run at Keenum. Has experience, performed well last year and wouldn't break the bank.

Just my thoughts :)

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
