Buffalo Bills free agents in demand during latest wave of free agency

Preston Brown, Jordan Matthews, E.J. Gaines, and Marcus Easley among former Bills being looked at.

The Buffalo Bills didn’t lose very many free agents during the early part of this year’s signing period. The first wave of free agency came and went with no big deal handed out to former Bills.

The biggest contract to go to a Bills free agent was Kyle Williams, who signed a one-year, $6 million deal to return to Buffalo. Linebacker Preston Brown signed for one year, $4 million with the Cincinnati Bengals. Tackle Seantrel Henderson was the first to sign, inking a one-year deal early in the process. Cornerback Shareece Wright signed with the Oakland Raiders. Now Deonte Thompson has signed with the Dallas Cowboys.

Drawing interest in the second eave are cornerback E.J. Gaines and wide receiver Jordan Matthews. Gaines signed with the Cleveland Browns while Matthews ended up with the New England Patriots. Joe Webb signed a minimum contract with the Houston Texans.

In addition to Williams, running backs Travaris Cadet and Taiwan Jones are both back in the fold, signing minimum deals to remain in Buffalo one more year. Linebacker Ramon Humber did the same.

Here’s a list of the signed and unsigned newly-free Bills players as of now:
