The Buffalo Bills re-signed veteran Kyle Williams a while ago but the contract information hadn’t been available. The heart and soul of the team enters his 13th season on the defensive line and we finally have his contract numbers, first reported by Mike Rodak.
Williams’ one-year deal will pay him $5.5 million starting with a $2.25 million signing bonus. His $2.25 million salary is also fully guaranteed. He earns $500,000 as a workout bonus and up to $500,000 for every game for which he is active. (That’s $31,250 per game.)
Because Williams played in all 16 games last year, that $500,000 per-game bonus is a Likely To Be Earned bonus as is his workout bonus. That means his cap hit will be the full possible value of the contract; $5.5 million.
It’s a good deal for the Bills with Williams still playing at a high level.
