2018 NFL Draft needs: all four teams in AFC East could draft a quarterback

Some teams need a lot while others are just ironing out some wrinkles.

This Thursday, the 2018 NFL Draft will finally be under way. With all of the hype these past months, nobody is sure on exactly what is going to happen. What we are sure about however, is that teams in the AFC East have some needs that they must address and quarterback is on each list for various reasons.

Buffalo Bills

The Bills could be in the best position out of the AFC East to fill the holes on their roster because of the nine draft picks that they hold. The problem with this is there are a lot of holes on their roster. The team obviously needs a quarterback because AJ McCarron and Nathan Peterman are not the most-feared quarterback duo in the league. They also have a major hole at linebacker after losing Preston Brown in free agency.

Other Draft Needs

  • Wide Reciever
  • Offensive Line
  • Cornerback
  • Defensive End

Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins have some glaring needs heading into the draft. After losing defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, the team has a big hole up front to patch up. With the shakeups that head coach Adam Gase has been implementing, some say that quarterback is also a draft need for the team with the Dolphins holding the 11th pick in the first round and current quarterback Ryan Tannehill coming off an injury.

Other Draft Needs

  • Linebacker
  • Tight End
  • Offensive Line
  • Cornerback

New York Jets

The Jets need to find some fire power on offense heading into the draft. The team has a need at receiver even with the addition of Terrelle Pryor in free agency. After the addition of Teddy Bridgewater to go with Josh McCown, the team is still expected to pick their QB of the future in this year’s draft. The team also needs some help at tight end after getting rid of Austin Seferian-Jenkins who was solid last year.

Other Draft Needs

  • Right Tackle
  • Guard
  • Linebacker
  • Defensive End

New England Patriots

The Patriots are doing some fine tuning on their roster after losing the Super Bowl to the Eagles last season. With father time slowly catching up to Tom Brady and the team holding two first round picks, this could be the year the Pats pick the true Brady successor. Losing Dion Lewis in free agency makes the Patriots open to picking a running back in the draft to add to their mix as well and they lost their starting left tackle.

Other Draft Needs

  • Offensive Line
  • Linebacker
  • Cornerback
  • Defensive Lineman
