With the 2018 NFL Draft only a few days away, the Buffalo Bills will likely have to find a trade partner if they want to make sure that they find their franchise quarterback. According to a report, the New York Giants, who have been linked to a draft trade with the Bills in the past, are unlikely to to be the suitor.
On NFL Network’s Good Morning Football Monday, NFL insider Ian Rapoport had this to say:
“From what I understand, it’s not going to be one of those things where they just sell out and (trade) all the way to No. 2 with the Giants,” said Rapoport. “I would be at this moment surprised if that happens.”
He also added that the Denver Broncos at five and the Indianapolis Colts at six are the more likely landing spots for the Bills.
John Elway has made it known that he is willing to deal away his fifth overall selection and seems like a hot target for the Bills to move up. Other quarterback needy teams like the Arizona Cardinals and the Miami Dolphins may also try to move up, creating a bidding war for the spot. In that case, the Bills would be able to give up more picks that than most, if not all other teams.
