Buffalo Bills will host Ohio State cornerback Denzel Ward on pre-draft visit

The top cornerback in the draft is coming to visit the Bills.

The Buffalo Bills are working through their pre-draft visits and the latest is at a position the team clearly values. Ohio State cornerback Denzel Ward is the most recent name to be associated with the Bills, even if he might be the first cornerback taken later this month according to Nick Shook of NFL.com.

If Buffalo wants to select Ward, they might need to trade up to get him. He is frequently mocked to the San Francisco 49ers at pick 9 and visited with them this week.

Ward is a tad undersized at 5’10”, 190 pounds but makes up for it with great speed and reaction time. Here’s a full breakdown from Mile High Report, who is looking at Ward as a possible top-5 pick.

In 2017, Buffalo drafted Tre’Davious White in the first round. This year, they are also reportedly interested in LSU cornerback Donte Jackson. With a revamped secondary but not much depth behind White and fellow cornerback Vontae Davis, who is only signed for one year, Buffalo should definitely be counted on to add a cornerback later this month.
