Buffalo Bills to host LSU cornerback Donte Jackson on a pre-draft visit, per report

If drafted, Jackson would likely compete for the outside cornerback role opposite former teammate Tre’Davious White.

According to a report from Jared Tokarz of thenfldraftinsider.com, former LSU cornerback Donte Jackson will be visiting the Buffalo Bills on an official pre-draft visit prior to the 2018 NFL Draft. Jackson also intends to visit the Denver Broncos, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers and Green Bay Packers.

A former teammate of Bills corner Tre’Davious White, Jackson is a twitchy athlete for the position, but lacks elite instincts in coverage. At the NFL Combine, Jackson ran the fastest 40-yard dash time for his position, a 4.32. At 5’11”, 178 pounds, he also carries a somewhat smallish frame.

Jackson had a successful 2017 season for LSU and was voted second-team all-conference in the SEC. He finished the year with 45 total tackles, 3.5 tackles-for-loss, a sack, an interception and 10 pass break-ups.

Unlike cornerback Denzel Ward, who Buffalo is also looking at on a pre-draft visit, Jackson is expected to be a Day 2 pick.
