The Buffalo Bills have a presence on this year’s NFL Network Top 100 players list. On Monday night, it was revealed that Bills safety Micah Hyde checked in at No. 62 on this year’s edition of the annual list, as voted by the players. Though, for some strange reason, Hyde is listed as being a cornerback and not a safety, which perhaps he should treat as a tribute to his ability to play a variety of positions in the secondary.
So far, Hyde is the only Bills player to make an appearance.
For the 27-year-old Hyde, this is the first time in his five-year career that he’s made the Top 100. Buffalo’s big free-agent acquisition last offseason, Hyde put up big numbers in his first year in Western New York. He recorded 82 tackles, 13 passes defensed, and five interceptions on his way to being named to his first Pro Bowl. And, of course, he was an instrumental part of the Bills ending their much-noted 17-year playoff drought.

In honor of accomplishment, a couple of Bills players spoke a a few words about Hyde’s 2017 performance.
“Micah [Hyde] has been a great addition to our team this year. He’s been a ballhawk. What he’s been able to do for us on the back end has really helped us,” said Bills linebacker Lorenzo Alexander.
“Micah [Hyde] does a great job on the back end controlling everything, making sure that everybody’s set up, knows the coverage. If he’s by the ball when it’s in air, he’s going to get it,” said former Bills and current Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Preston Brown.
