It’s never really a good idea for rookies of any sport to talk trash to players that have been in the league a lot longer than they have. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been a pro for less than a month now, but he seems to have already figured this out.
During the opening day of Bills’ rookie minicamp, Jalen Ramsey of the Jacksonville Jaguars commented “That’s a pick waiting to happen” underneath a video the Bills posted of their young quarterback taking a snap. Ramsey later deleted the post, but obviously by then it didn’t matter as his comment had already gone viral. He also later tweeted a couple of cheeky apologies that surely added fuel to the fire.
Allen, for now at least, doesn’t seem interested in clapping back at Ramsey. In a video published by TMZ Sports on Thursday, Allen took the high road when asked by the outlet about Ramsey’s comments.
“That’s like one of the best corners in the league,” Allen said of Ramsey. The Bills quarterback also added that he wasn’t bothered at all by Ramsey’s post.
The Bills rookie is spot on about Ramsey. A top-five pick a couple of years ago, Ramsey has started all 32 career regular-season games. He was named a first-team All-Pro last season.
The Bills are scheduled to host the Jaguars at New Era Field on November 25, a game for which Allen could very well be the Bills’ starting quarterback.
