Bovada sets over-under for Buffalo Bills rookie quarterback Josh Allen starts at 10.5

This feels like an easy bet for the under

The Buffalo Bills traded up in the 2018 NFL Draft in order to draft quarterback Josh Allen. While he was the third quarterback selected, sports wagering site Bovada believes that Allen will be the rookie quarterback who starts the most games in 2018.

The over-under for games started by Allen this season is 10.5, just ahead of Cleveland Browns draft choice (and number one overall pick) Baker Mayfield (9.5). Both the Browns and the Bills have veteran quarterbacks who many expect to placeholders for the young ones, as Cleveland has announced Tyrod Taylor as their starter for 2018, and the Bills currently have AJ McCarron as QB1.

If this line were by which week does Allen start a game, I could see taking the over; however, with McCarron on the roster and a general consensus that Allen needs plenty of time to sit and develop, I find it hard to bet the over here. Allen might start games in 2018, but I think it would be a big gamble to stake any sort of capital on him starting 11 games as a rookie.

What do you think, Bills fans—over or under 10.5?
