Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy has been accused of severely beating a woman thought to be his girlfriend, Delicia Cordon, in an explosive Instagram post shared on Tuesday morning. One of Cordon’s friends posted before and after photos of a severely beaten woman said to be Cordon on Tuesday morning with a blistering caption.
We have opted not to include the Instagram post in this article as it is very graphic, but you can click the link above to view it at your discretion. (Update: the Instagram post has been taken down, but you can still read what it said below and the images are linked below via a Facebook post.)
Here is the text from the since-deleted Instagram post:
“[LeSean McCoy] is THE DEVIL!!! YOU ARE AN ANIMAL!!!!!! We didn’t say anything about how you beat your dog “Henny” into kidney failure. Let’s not talk about all the times my best friend had to stop you from VICIOUSLY beating your son for small things like peeing in the bed. We kept quiet about your drug usage ... all the ILLEGAL steroids and needles you were using, but we will not keep quiet about this!!!!!! I can’t believe you did this to my best friend!!!!! YOUR KARMA IS GOING TO BE SO REAL!!!!!! The world needs to know what type of animal you really are!!!!!!!”
There is a lot of information in this post. Obviously, the most troubling part is the photos showing a severely injured woman, allegedly at the hands of McCoy. Beating his son and beating his dog are also truly disturbing accusations.
The steroids accusation is a completely separate issue, and would obviously be troubling in its own right, but is far from the headline of this story.
The Bills are reportedly aware of the allegations and looking into them.

McCoy took to Instagram to respond to the allegations:
“For the record, the totally baseless and offensive claims made against me today on social media are completely false,” wrote McCoy on Instagram. “Furthermore, I have not had any direct contact with any of the people involved in months.”
Update: 1:30 p.m. ET
Another friend of Cordon’s, Cicely Billups, posted the same images at the same time on her Facebook page, while adding another disturbing detail:
“This is my beautiful best friend Delicia Cordon. I can’t fucking believe this!! Sending dudes in her house to pistol whip and rob her!! For what?! Now the world knows what we know!!! You will pay for this.. You will NOT get away with this!!!!”
This changes the story, though the details still remain in question.
TMZ is also reporting that McCoy and Cordon were involved in a bitter dispute that spanned this entire offseason:
We’ve learned LeSean and Delicia have had a contentious relationship for a while -- according to docs obtained by TMZ Sports, McCoy went to court in June seeking to get a judge’s order forcing to her to move out of a home he owns in Alpharetta, Georgia.
In court docs, McCoy wrote ... “Defendant is ex-girlfriend of owner/plaintiff and refuses to leave.”
He also wanted the judge to force Delicia to return all of his items that were in her possession.
In fact, the two sides were scheduled to appear in court on the matter TODAY -- but it might get pushed due to a medical emergency involving a member of her lawyer’s family.
In early June, while McCoy was in Buffalo for OTAs, Delicia claims (via court documents) that acquaintances of McCoy’s tried to take back what he thought was his, out of the home in which she was living.
Delicia claims LeSean had some of his friends, family members and other crew remove her furniture and furnishings without her knowledge.
When she saw things going down on a live security cam feed, she immediately called police and they stopped McCoy’s people from hauling her stuff away.
In court docs, Delicia says LeSean cut the electricity to her place ... and things have been nasty ever since.
Update 3:15 p.m. ET
The Bills have officially commented on the situation.
“We have spoken to LeSean and have been in contact with the National Football League. We will continue to gather information,” said the brief statement.
We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.

McCoy’s mother confirmed to Penn Live that her son and Cordon were dating for a year and a half.
Matt Bove of WKBW in Buffalo has confirmed that the home broken into overnight was owned by McCoy.
