The Buffalo Bills released their list of inactive players for tonight’s preseason game against the Carolina Panthers. Among the names are starting defensive end Trent Murphy and wide receiver Zay Jones. Jones has been dealing with the aftermath of his offseason knee injury, while Murphy is continuing to nurse a groin injury that was sustained last week in training camp.
Rookie undrafted free agent and training camp standout Cam Phillips is also nursing a groin injury that was sustained last week and will not be playing tonight. That is unfortunate as he has garnered quite a bit of hype recently for his play in practices that have been attended by the media.
Bills fans also won’t get a chance to see newly acquired wide receiver Corey Coleman as he likely is still not fully acquainted with the playbook. Finally, linebacker Corey Thompson is the final inactive player. It is unclear where or when he suffered an injury.
