The Buffalo Bills and the Los Angeles Chargers are both missing a couple starters as they battle in Orchard Park today. The headliner is Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa, who has his foot in a cast at the moment. After Vontae Davis was a week one healthy scratch, today the Bills have placed him on the active roster. Here is the full list of inactive players:
G Wyatt Teller
T Conor McDermott
G Ike Boettger
Teller and McDermott are inactive for the second week in a row, while Boettger rejoined the Bills this week on a waiver claim. All three young linemen will probably be inactive until they start outplaying veteran options like Marshall Newhouse, or until injuries force a shuffle.
DE Shaq Lawson
Lawson’s recovering from a week one hamstring strain that held him out of practice all week.
CB Taron Johnson
Johnson injured his shoulder in the first game of his career. He couldn’t practice this week, and Davis will be activated in his stead.
WR Ray-Ray McCloud
McCloud returned to practice on Friday after missing the first game of the season with a knee injury. That didn’t give him quite enough time to prepare to play, but he’ll be on the active roster before long.
TE Khari Lee
Lee was inactive last week, too, as the Bills looked to highlight their most dynamic athletes at tight end. So far, the trend remains the same.
