In case you possessed a notion that rookie quarterback Josh Allen would turn around the fortunes of the Buffalo Bills, you can now put that to rest. Phillip Rivers, Melvin Gordon, and Austin Ekeler dissected Buffalo’s defense, with four touchdowns and nearly 300 yards of offense in the first half. Their defense didn’t need Joey Bosa, sacking Allen three times in the first half.
The Bills still showed positive progress from their awful season opener. They actually scored points in the first half (and attained a first down, for that matter). Josh Allen landed a deep bomb to Zay Jones, and is 8-of-14 passing for 126 yards at the half.
Still, this blowout shows no signs of turning around. Still watching? Here’s our open thread.
