Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy walked off the field under his own power after sustaining an injury in the third quarter. He took a shot to his ribs from a Los Angeles Chargers defender before center Ryan Groy landed on him after he was down.
McCoy did return for one carry after the hit, but eventually the team announced he was out and questionable to return. They are officially calling it a rib injury.
Buffalo replaced McCoy with Chris Ivory, while Marcus Murphy continued in his change of pace role.
Shady had nine rushes for 39 yards, but 27 came on one run. He also added four receptions for 29 yards.
Another running back, depth rusher and special teamer Taiwan Jones, also left the game with an injury in the second half after taking a shot to the head after losing his helmet. A gash opened up on his head that was bleeding profusely.
UPDATE
After the game, McCoy declined an interview request saying he was having a difficult time speaking with reporters.
