FanPulse: Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings fans don’t think it will be as big of a blowout as Las Vegas odds

Bills fans are predicting a loss, but not a crushing loss.

Matt Warren is Associate Director of NFL coverage for SB Nation and previously covered the Bills for Buffalo Rumblings for more than a decade.

Buffalo Bills fans think their team is going to lose this weekend. Minnesota Vikings fans think their team is going to win this weekend. Vegas odds have the game as a huge blowout, but most fans think it’ll be closer than the oddsmakers predict.

Depending on where you look, the Bills are either 16.5 or 17-point underdogs this Sunday, the second-highest number in more than a decade for Josh Allen’s second career start. Vikings fans are saying “take the under”. In this week’s FanPulse polling, our readers over at The Daily Norseman are saying Vikes by 14. Bills fans are even softer, saying it will be an 11-point Minnesota victory.

The Bills have been mostly lackluster on offense and are facing one of the top defenses in the league, while the Vikings offense has put up 53 combined points in their first two games and the Bills have given up more than 70 points to opponents this season.

Bills’ fan confidence actually rose after the debut of Josh Allen this past weekend from 30% to 43%. He didn’t show that he was completely lost and was a noticeable improvement over Nathan Peterman.
