The regular season is FINALLY here, and our latest edition of the Buffalo Rumblings Podcast has you covered with everything you need to know to get ready for the game between the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens at 1 p.m. Sunday. (And there’s a nifty giveaway below!)
Starting this week and before every game the Bills play, our podcast will feature an in-depth interview with a blogger from the opposing team’s website. This week, co-host John Boccacino was joined by Logan Levy from Baltimore Beatdown to dissect this match up, the second time in three years the Bills will open the season in Baltimore.
Boccacino and co-host Anthony Marino also gave their keys to the game, and all three of our experts offered up their predictions for the opener.
Hear what our podcast duo had to say about these topics, and find out how you could take home a cool memento commemorating the end to the Bills 17-year playoff drought, just by leaving your feedback on our podcast!
Boccacino and Levy spend time discussing the keys to the season opener, including who will have the better game between quarterbacks Nathan Peterman and Joe Flacco (no one expects this game to turn into an aerial display from both quarterbacks).
The pair also break down who should win the matchup between Baltimore’s new corps of wide receivers, including Michael Crabtree, Willie Snead, and John Brown, and Buffalo’s vaunted secondary of Tre’Davious White, Jordan Poyer, Micah Hyde, and (hopefully) Vontae Davis.
Both agree that the Ravens’ biggest focal point for containing Peterman is to slow down Pro Bowl running back LeSean McCoy, who should be fully rested and ready to roll entering his fourth season in Western New York.
Levy expects the Bills’ front four to have the edge in the matchups against Baltimore’s offensive line, while no one quite knows what to expect of Buffalo’s offensive line against a good Ravens defensive line.
Marino also gives his thoughts on the season opener, and all three experts take a shot at predicting the final score of the game (hint: no one expects this game to be a blowout either way).
Also included in the podcast is a bobblehead giveaway!, Fans have a great opportunity to take home a cool Billy Buffalo bobblehead celebrating the end of the playoff drought, which is only available in the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum’s online store.
