Buffalo Bills 0, Baltimore Ravens 26: Second half open thread

The Bills offense laid a goose egg in the first half.

The Buffalo Bills couldn’t have put up a worse first half if they’d tried. They Charlie Browned their way to a 26-0 deficit in the first half of their season opener at Baltimore. The team went three-and-out on every single one of their first seven first-half possessions, ended the eighth without one as the half ended, had 7 penalties accepted for 71 yards, and couldn’t even manage to come away with a muffed punt when they had three Bills and no Ravens in the vicinity.

At this point, the biggest question might be if Nate Peterman gets a second-half hook for the second season in a row, this time in favor of rookie Josh Allen. Peterman’s had an atrocious 4-of-13 start with a gimme interception to the Ravens.

The only bright spots so far have included rookie punter Cody Bojorquez, linebacker Matt Milano, and rookie linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, who has a sack and forced a fumble already (the Bills recovered that fumble, then turned first-and-five within the 35 yard line into a missed field goal).
