East-West Shrine Game & NFLPA Bowl preview, TV channel, and live chat

The evaluation process for draft prospects is always in full swing, but what truly marks the beginning of draft season are all-star bowl games, starting with today’s East-West Shrine Game and NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. Traditionally, both games are for second-, third-day and future undrafted NFL prospects, looking to add a bit of momentum before the combine. Every year there are a couple of players who play well, during the Shrine Game in particular, and earn a move up to the Senior Bowl. If you’re looking for some draft diamonds-in-the-rough, these are the games where you’ll notice them.

Last year, a little-known back from Colorado named Phillip Lindsay led all rushers in the Shrine game with 51 yards on 12 carries. After going undrafted, he latched on to the Denver Broncos and eventually led all rookies in rushing yards this season with 1,037.

As always, let’s talk about the game, leave questions on prospects and enjoy.
