On the latest episode of the Billieve Podcast, host John Boccacino and co-host Jamie D’Amico assess the state of the 2019 Buffalo Bills as the team is on its bye week.

At 4-1, the Bills are tied for second place in the AFC, and their only loss came to the reigning Super Bowl champion New England Patriots.

Led by an elite defense that is suffocating its opponents, and with an improved Josh Allen quarterbacking the offense, our podcasters address whether the Bills are a playoff team.

Focusing on the positives, Boccacino and D’Amico give their biggest reasons to be excited about this team—ranging from an excellent third-down defense; an improved rushing attack led by the ageless Frank Gore; the emergence of cornerback Levi Wallace; the strides made by Allen in Brian Daboll’s offense; and the mental toughness displayed by the Bills in winning games when the offense hasn’t performed at a high level.

Conversely, the biggest concerns for our podcasters are: a disturbing lack of a pass rush from Leslie Frazier’s defense; turnovers from Bad Josh Allen; the Cody Ford experiment at right tackle; lingering injuries along the offensive line; the lack of depth at linebacker; and erratic play from Buffalo’s special teams chief among our concerns.

Check out the latest episode of Billieve to find out our podcasters’ thoughts on these topics and more. Be sure to leave your thoughts on whether the Bills are a playoff team, and what excites you and what is causing you to be concerned about the Bills moving forward.
