Devin Singletary to be a gametime decision

But should he play?

Buffalo Bills running back Devin Singletary has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury. He was reportedly close to playing last week against the New England Patriots and is even closer this week. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says the rookie will be a game-time decision after working out before the game.

With the conditions in Tennessee expected to be wet and rainy, it would stand to reason that the Bills will lean on their running game Sunday. That would also raise concerns for Singletary re-injuring the hamstring during the game, which could alter the rest of his season.

We think it’s more likely that Singletary gets one more week of rest this week and uses the bye to get 100% before returning to the field. Especially with fullback Patrick DiMarco clearing the concussion protocol and Frank Gore chugging along, Buffalo doesn’t need to rush back Singletary. Hamstrings are notoriously easy to re-aggravate.
