Buffalo Bills at Tennessee Titans: first half open thread

Josh Allen is ready to go

The Buffalo Bills take on the Tennessee Titans today looking to go to a perfect 3-0 on the road through their first five games. If Buffalo comes out with a victory today, they will be 4-1 overall with a 3-1 record in the conference, giving them a commanding lead on their competition for a Wild Card spot in the early going.

While it appeared early in the week that quarterback Josh Allen would be unable to play, he cleared concussion protocol on Saturday, so he will start instead of backup Matt Barkley. In what is expected to be a rainy, messy day, Allen should be a welcome sight for Bills fans. He was drafted in part for his ability to throw the ball in difficult weather, so today will test that theory.

The Bills will probably try to establish some rhythm in the running game early on, with veteran Frank Gore (273 rushing yards, 4.5 yards per carry, two touchdowns) carrying the load. If the defense can force Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota to commit his first turnover of the 2019 season, then the Bills will have a great chance at coming out with a huge road victory.

Your first-half thread is here, Bills fans. Enjoy the game!
