Buffalo Bills fans infiltrate downtown Cleveland ahead of Browns game

Billieveland

Matt Warren is Associate Director of NFL coverage for SB Nation and previously covered the Bills for Buffalo Rumblings for more than a decade.

Buffalo and Cleveland are a few hours apart by car, and with Cleveland Browns fans selling tickets cheaply on the secondary market, lots of Buffalo Bills fans hopped in their cars on Friday and Saturday to head down the I-90 to Ohio. With the Cleveland Bills Backers holding a huge party at Southern Tier Brewing’s Cleveland tasting room on Saturday night, we knew it would be a big party. We didn’t know it was going to be this big.

Our own Nick Bat (from the Nick and Nolan Show) lives in Cleveland and founded the Cleveland Bills Backers chapter. He and the rest of the folks there shared a bunch of pictures and video of the Bills Mafia takeover. It spilled out from STBC to several neighboring bars which all reached capacity. Apparently, fire wardens are the only thing that can slow down Bills fans.

Joining Nick and the rest of the Cleveland Bills Backers were WGR 550’s Sal Capaccio, WROC Rochester’s Thad Brown, NYUpstate.com’s Matt Parrino, plus 26 Shirts and Bills Mafia founder Del Reid.
