The Bills still need some help in the AFC East race for the division crown, but in the Wild Card they have a solid lead. They have a one-game lead over the teams in sixth place and seventh place. Buffalo is two games up on the eight- and ninth-place teams.

With the Texans and Colts playing this Thursday night, one of them is most likely falling to 6-5. A Bills win next Sunday gives Buffalo a two-game lead in the playoff race heading into Thanksgiving.

The Cincinnati Bengals are now the first team eliminated from the playoff race in the AFC.
