Buffalo Bills WR Cole Beasley leaves game against Denver Broncos with injury

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Cole Beasley left the game against the Denver Broncos. After running back Devin Singletary ran behind the block of Beasley, the receiver hopped up and down on one leg and then went to the turf. It appears the training staff was looking at his lower leg, so perhaps Singletary stepped on Beasley’s ankle. Beasley was able to come out for the next series, but it’s something to monitor.

It would be a big loss for Buffalo. Beasley was clearly a big part of their plan for today and the short passing game could keep the Broncos pass rush at bay. He already has five catches on five targets for 57 yards and nearly scored a touchdown.

Buffalo has Isaiah McKenzie and Andre Roberts in reserve at the slot wide receiver position (in addition to Robert Foster on the outside), so they will have the bodies to keep going, but there is a considerable skill dropoff.
