Buffalo Bills tackles Ty Nsekhe, Cody Ford leave game against New York Jets

Dion Dawkins is back in the game.

Matt Warren is Associate Director of NFL coverage for SB Nation and previously covered the Bills for Buffalo Rumblings for more than a decade.

Both Buffalo Bills right tackles have left the game against the New York Jets due to injury. That’s forced left tackle Dion Dawkins back into the game after subbing out in the first quarter while Ryan Bates flipped from left to right tackle.

Nsekhe just returned from a serious ankle injury. During the third quarter on a run block, Nsekhe was rolled up on from behind by left guard Quinton Spain. He immediately went to the ground and the broadcast announced he was done with a foot injury.

Ford came back in after coming out in the first half. He was injured late in the third quarter. As he was walking off the field, he was pointing to the shoulder area of the trainer accompanying him. We assume this means he has a shoulder injury and he was showing the trainer where the pain was coming from.

Bates and Dawkins are the only tackles left on the roster. They lost presumptive swing tackle LaAdrian Waddle during the preseason.

Buffalo also lost starting cornerback Levi Wallace during the game.

UPDATE: Ford returned in the fourth quarter.
