The Buffalo Bills are looking for a dedicated fan to take on the role of Billy Buffalo for home games at New Era Field and other community events.

The Bills gave Billy a makeover before the start of the 2018 season, the first change to Billy since his introduction during the 2000 season. The new look had fans second guessing the move and when the new Billy ran onto the field for the first time against the Cincinnati Bengals for the first preseason game, the fans took to Twitter to voice their displeasure. Maybe we’re all just used to the dark blue mascot that actually resembled a buffalo rather than this light blue impostor with a forced smile that looks like a bear with horns.

The Bills have an application you can fill out and apply to become the next Billy Buffalo. There are requirements to become Billy, which include entertaining a crowd and giving off a welcoming aura. Oh, and you have to know how to operate a t-shirt gun.
