Stabby's Mock Draft

Its that season again but unfortunately I wont be able to play much this year so I'm getting in my one and only mock. I'm drafting from the position of what I'd do, not what I think One Bills Drive is thinking. I'm drafting with no trades and the notion that all of Bosa, Williams and Josh Allen are off the board.

1. Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida. He reminds me of Cordy Glenn. Huge man with excellent movement. Start him on the right side of the line his rookie year. Nsheke-Dawkins-Morse-Long/Teller-Taylor. Josh Allen breathes a little easier. (I also like Cody Ford or Christian Wilkins if we stay at 9.)

2. Jeffery Simmons, DT, Miss St. He was my second favorite 3Tech (Wilkins) and in my mind a slam dunk prospect for the Bills at 9. The ACL tear puts him in the Jaylen Smith category but the chance to get him in the 2nd is too good for me to pass up. (The only other player I would look at is Hollywood Brown, who I think is tremendous.) He might have to start on the PUP but he is a blue chip player and one I would be very willing to take a gamble on.

3. Jace Sternberger, TE, Texas AM Complete TE that would step in and be a day one starter as a receiver. Good, not great blocker but those skills can be honed. Croom, Kroft and Sternberger would be a the best TE group the Bills have had in a long time. Will he be there in the 3rd? who knows..but he is here and I run to turn my card in.

4A. Damien Harris RB, Alabama. He won't wow you to death but I see him as a Mark Ingram style player. I believe Chris Ivory will be on his way out and Harris will get the Lions share of the carries as a downhill runner in Daboll's scheme. This is the kind of fourth round value pick that builds playoff teams.

4B. Tytus Howard, OT Alabama State. Big Dancing bear that needs a year or two to maximize his technique. Played at a lower level of competition but has all the tools to become a quality starter after adjusting to the speed of the NFL. Pushes Waddle out the door his second year and if he is solid can replace Nsheke at LT.

5. Justin Hollins OLB, EDGE Oregon. One of my Favorite prospects in the draft. Excellent movement skills. Can rush the passer. He can cover as well and is my replacement for Zo at SAM. good tackler and has the length to play in space.

5. Charles Omenihu, DE, Texas Height/Weight Speed guy that didn't match his production to his numbers. I believe he would be a better pro then college player and sitting him behind Jerry for a year would be Ideal.

6. Ben Powers G, Oklahoma. Interior Depth with solid upside. Raw technique and is used to over-powering college d-linemen, But if he puts it together can be a plus starter.

7. Mike Bell, FS, Fresno State. Center fielder with good coverage skills. Misses some tackles but football knowledge is good. Will be a solid Special Teamer and replaces Raffy Bush in a couple years.

7. Tyler Horton, CB, Boise State. Smaller Zone corner with adequate speed that has a knack for turnovers. Reminds me of Peanut Tillman. Could be a steal here in the 7th.

Tell me what you think. I really wanted to replenish the Mike and Will Backer depth but didn't really have the opportunity with the way this draft unfolded.

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
