Former Mississippi State Bulldog Montez Sweat, told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network and NFL.com that he will be visiting the Buffalo Bills this weekend as a part of the pre-draft process each team and players go through.
Sweat is a special physical specimen, standing at 6’6” and 260 pounds with nearly 36” arms. His athletic ability is rare for that size. At the NFL Combine in February, he ran a 4.41-second 40-yard dash, posted a 36” vertical and put up 21 bench reps, measurables better than Jadeveon Clowney had coming out of college. His speed off the edge showed in college where, in his final two seasons with Mississippi State, he recorded a total of 22.5 sacks in 26 games.
The Bills are clearly looking for a pass rusher after dabbling in the Trey Flowers and Ezekiel Ansah market. Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott would have a tough decision to make at ninth overall if Sweat is on the board with players available that are able to fulfill a more pressing need.
