Your FINAL mock drafts-- as many rounds as you like! Less than 2 weeks away!

Seeing as how we grabbed an ER (not Ansah as I wanted, but who knows with Harold-- might be good), I'm assuming we are pretty much done with any major signings. Time to focus our attention on the mock draft again-- but this one will be my last for the year. I know some will probably be off the board earlier, but I've seen some mocks take them later in the draft, so I really don't know for sure. But it's time for my 7-round mock (with some just looking at practice squad time):

RD. 1 (#9): TRADE DOWN with Washington Redskins to #15 for the Redskins' 3rd rounder! I won't even guess who they pick up at this point. If they grab a QB it's probably way too high, but desperate teams call for desperate measures sometimes.

RD. 1 (#15): CHRISTIAN WILKINS, DT Clemson 6'3 315. I think he'll be nearly as good as Ed Oliver, who many mocks are predicting we will grab at #9. I would prefer to trade down for an extra pick, as there are at least a few still-pressing needs.

RD. 2 (#40): IRV SMITH, JR., TE Alabama 6'4 240. Certainly not as good as Fant or Hockenson IMHO, but certainly has to be a massive upgrade to Kroft and Croom.

RD. 3 (#74): DARRELL HENDERSON, RB Memphis 5'9 200. Not the most physically imposing back perhaps, but nearly 2,000 yards and 22 touchdowns rushing in 2018.. wow! Sounds like maybe a decent heir apparent to Shady.

RD. 3 (#76): JJ ARCEGA-WHITESIDE, WR Stanford 6'3 225. With the criminally underperforming/uninterested/whatever Kelvin Benjamin and his tall frame out of the picture, we could probably use another tall receiver somewhere on the roster (do we have anyone over 6 feet?). He's fast, too!

RD. 4 (#112): JALEN JELKS, EDGE/DT Oregon 6'6 253. I see this guy as a strong "under the radar" candidate and could very well rack up the sacks in our system. In case Eli Harold does not (probably not).

RD. 4 (#131): CAMERON SMITH, LB USC 6'2 245. I don't know a whole lot about him; good motor and instincts from what I hear. Give him a shot at the heir apparent to Lorax possibly, and if he doesn't fit the bill, go after LB early in the 2020 draft.

RD. 5 (#147): ROSS PIERSCHBACHER, OG Alabama 6'4 303. Hey Shady, we finally got that Bama lineman you wanted! In case Spencer Long isn't the answer.

RD. 5 (#158) from Oakland: TYREE JACKSON, QB Buffalo 6'7 245. Really tall QB-- when have we had one this big? Might be worth a flyer/stash on the PS.

RD. 6 (#181): BRANDON KNIGHT, OT Indiana 6'5 305. Good blocker. Ty Nsekhe is no spring chicken..

RD. 7 (#225): COLE TRACY, K LSU 5'11 188. The top kicker in the draft from what I hear. Probably not going to quite get to UDFA status. Even a solid kicker like Hauschka could use an at least intriguing backup.

RD. 7 (#228): Screw it-- BRETT RYPIEN, QB Boise St. 6'2 200. PS fodder; maybe there's something in us taking the nephew of a guy that whupped us in SB XXVI.

..And there you have it; my last mock. I feel we got some good value early on; there was a lot of money thrown at refurbishing the O line so I didn't feel it was necessary to spend any early picks there. I especially like Jelks, Whiteside and Henderson. Time to throw down YOUR last mocks-- as many rounds as you like. Have fun! Only 2 more weeks folks!
