The Buffalo Bills continue to kick the tires on potential draft picks, with South Carolina wide receiver Deebo Samuel the latest talent to confirm he’s meeting with the Buffalo Bills’ brass before the 2019 NFL Draft, April 25-27 in Nashville, Tenn.
Samuel said during an interview on NFL Total Access that he will be visiting Western New York for a pre-draft visit with the Bills.
Samuel, listed at 5’11” and 214 lbs, earned two all-conference honors during his senior season. He was named first-team All-SEC honors and was named All American by the American Football Coaches’ Association as an all-purpose player and return specialist after averaging 24.8 yards per return on 23 kickoff returns (570 kickoff return yards.
As a receiver, Samuel garnered second-team all-conference honors after he recorded 62 catches for 882 yards (14.2 yards per reception) with 11 touchdown catches. After sitting out South Carolina’s bowl game to prepare for the NFL Draft, Samuel earned an invitation to the 2019 Senior Bowl.
During his four-year career, Samuel caught 148 passes for 2,076 yards (14 yards per reception) with 16 touchdowns.
Projected as a Day 2 selection, Samuel ran a 4.48-second 40-yard dash time at the NFL Combine.
