The Buffalo Bills’ 2019 schedule has officially been released, and there are certainly some stretches where the team seems to have some advantages.
The big news is Buffalo is playing on Thanksgiving for the first time since 1994. Jim Kelly to Josh Allen. It's the late afternoon game against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Bills bookend the season against the New York Jets, traveling to The Meadowlands on September 8 for the season opener and hosting Sam Darnold and Gang Green on December 29 for the season finale. Also in their September schedule includes a Week 2 road tilt against the New York Giants, giving the Bills a unique scenario in which they will play consecutive road games in the same building—a building that is a mere six hours away by bus, and an 80-minute flight from Buffalo to Newark. The Bills round out the month of September by playing host to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 3 and the New England Patriots in Week 4.
The Bills travel across Lake Erie in November, as Josh Allen will meet Baker Mayfield for the first time when Buffalo plays the Cleveland Browns. They also have to contend with Tom Brady at Foxboro in December for the second consecutive year. Buffalo is the only team in the NFL without a primetime game.
