The Buffalo Bills are signing running back T.J. Yeldon, according to a recent report from Adam Schefter of ESPN. It was originally reported that Yeldon visited the Bills last week, and the official signing seems set to happen.
The former second-round draft pick will join the Buffalo backfield that includes LeSean McCoy and Frank Gore. While much has been made as of late about the age of the Bills’ running backs, Yeldon (25) will provide some welcomed youth at the position.
Yeldon has rushed for 1,872 yards on 465 attempts over four season with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has also demonstrated the ability to catch passes out of the backfield, with 55 receptions for 487 yards during the 2018 season. While it’s too early to speculate, Yeldon could serve as a third-down change-of-pace running back in Buffalo.
Check back with Buffalo Rumblings for all of the latest updates on the Yeldon signing throughout the day.
