With the weather warming up and football season still agonizingly far away, perhaps you’re looking for something to do this weekend. Well you’re in luck! Sahlen Field will be hosting Micah Hyde’s charity softball game this Sunday, June 2 at 1:00pm.
Micah Hyde will be taking the field along with “teammates and other Buffalo legends and celebrities.” The game is being billed as “Offense vs. defense”—which means 2019 bragging rights are on the line!
The event benefits the IMagINe for Youth Foundation, which provides underprivileged children with the tools to be successful in school by providing supplies for the classroom and the opportunity to pursue athletics. The Foundation began as a school project for Micah Hyde and his peers and has evolved into an organization that benefits children across the country.
Tickets range from $10 to $75 for a premium experience that includes a signed mini-helmet, and can be purchased here. Gates open at noon, with a home-run derby at 12:30 pm prior to the 1:00 pm first pitch. More information on the event can be found here or by checking out the embedded tweet below.
