Sights and sounds from Buffalo Bills safety Micah Hyde’s Charity Softball Game

It wasn’t football, but if you were in attendance at Sahlen Field on Sunday for Micah Hyde’s first charity softball game, you probably came home feeling satisfied. Although rain was in the forecast, the skies seemed to clear just in time for current Bills players, Buffalo legends and other celebrities to compete against each other while raising money for Hyde’s IMagINe for Youth Foundation.

Before the national anthem, a moment of silence was had for Buffalo Bills superfan Pancho Billa, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer a few weeks ago. Then, head coach Sean McDermott tossed the opening pitch and the game began.

The defense ended up winning 8-7 while quarterback Josh Allen chugged a beer before receiving the home run derby championship trophy. By the end of the game, the participants had managed to raise more than $40,000 for Hyde’s foundation, all while bonding with each other and entertaining a crowd of around 2,500 people.

If you missed out on the action yesterday, feel free to check out these photos and videos from the event.
