18 Game NFL Season.

The proposal the NFL has is pretty bad imo. However it did get me thinking. I'm on lunch typing this on my phone so I'll have more to add to it later perhaps.

I for one am an NFL fan and would love a slightly longer season if done right. What if after training camp there were only 2 preseason games. Then give a week rest after those two games to help clear up any injuries that may have popped up. (Or we can still just jump straight into the season.) Then the 18 game season takes place. 2 extra games would cause the salary cap to jump up a bit I'd imagine. What if all extra salary cap generated from those games were able to be spent on any NON QB player. Meaning the extra 15 mil or so on the cap can only be used for non QB players. This would allow teams to pay more deserving non QB players. QBs would still be the highest paid far an wide. This just allows some money allocated elsewhere. It should make all players happy. If QBs arnt happy I wouldn't be surprised but the good QBs will still be making way more then anyone else. Thoughts?

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
