The Buffalo Bills have their first two injuries of training camp and unfortunately it makes them extremely thin at one position. Tight ends Jason Croom and Dawson Know are both dealing with hamstring injuries in addition to presumed starter Tyler Kroft beginning camp on the PUP list due to a broken foot. It leaves Lee Smith, Keith Towbridge, 7th round pick Tommy Sweeney, and UDFA Nate Becker as the only healthy tight ends on Sunday.
With a day off tomorrow, the Bills are also giving some veterans a rest day to recuperate. The 36-year-old linebacker Lorenzo Alexander and center Mitch Morse, fresh off core muscle surgery this offseason, were both on the sideline in baseball hats Sunday. Kicker Stephen Hauschka was wearing a baseball cap, as well, following warm ups.
Jon Feliciano was working with Josh Allen at center. He’s never played center in an NFL game, so it’s a mild upset with Spencer Long on standby.
