Buffalo Bills vs. Minnesota Vikings: open thread

It’ll be ten days before the Bills take the field again. Come chat while the chatting’s good

Week 4 of the preseason is upon us! The Buffalo Bills host the Minnesota Vikings at New Era Field as the practice games come to a close. Whether you’re watching on TV or coming out to the game like I am* there’s still plenty to look forward to tonight. Come on in and chat with your favorite Buffalo Bills fan community.

With a win, the Buffalo Bills will have gone undefeated in the preseason for the first time in team history. Sure, so did the winless Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns in their now infamous seasons but it’s not always a bad omen—just usually. Fox Sports has the research for us. On the flip side, we can’t get to 23-0 without it.

The final 53-man roster is assuredly mostly set already. However a few bubble players will get one last chance to make the team. Those not making the cut still could stick via the practice squad as well as put up valuable tape for other teams. Put it all together and there’s plenty up for grabs on the back end.

We should see a heavy dose of Tyree Jackson. Is he playing his way onto the practice squad? Can he help McDermott and company make a decision on the last receiver spot or two?

Speaking of receivers, this position group still has all sorts of question marks. While there are a few locks, the last couple spots are anyone’s guess. Keep an eye out for Zay Jones and for his sake hope you’re seeing him on the sideline. If he’s on the field it’s a safe bet he’s part of the back-end battle. Duke Williams, Ray-Ray McCloud III, and Isaiah McKenzie could be in play as well.

Receivers aren’t the only story line left to watch. Will Dawson Knox get a little time on the field after missing a ton of practice time? Will Corey Bojorquez perform well enough to retain the punting job? Will Christian Wade create another highlight-reel play?

Like sands through the hourglass, these are the days of our [Preseason Football] lives.
