With training camp at St. John Fisher in the books, the Buffalo Bills return to New Era Field to begin their four-game preseason slate with a Thursday, 7 p.m. Eastern match-up against the Indianapolis Colts—who won’t feature Andrew Luck at QB1 this week.

It’s year three of the McDermott era, and hopes are high that the team can return to the postseason after a year away. Unlike last season, Josh Allen enters the game as the team’s unquestioned starter at quarterback. Frank Gore is set to take most of the reps with the first-team offense, and Tommy Sweeney looks to take full advantage of the golden opportunity in front of him.

Fans will be eagerly watching the debuts of No. 9 overall pick Ed Oliver and No. 38 overall pick Cody Ford tonight against the Colts. With a year under his belt as the quarterback on defense, Tremaine Edmunds looks to expand on a tremendously promising rookie season. The eyes of all Bills fans will be on Shaq Lawson to see how he performs out of the gate in a make-or-break season.

McDermott previously stated the starters will play roughly a quarter tonight, so be sure to tune in early if you’re hoping to see how the top of the depth chart looks. There are plenty of other reasons to get excited about this preseason game, from the Bills’ debut of free-agent wide receivers John Brown and Cole Beasley, the battle for the sixth WR position, to rookie running back Devin Singletary. Additionally, some late-game drama may be found with the duel between quarterbacks Tyree Jackson and Chad Kelly.

Here’s everything you need to know about in order to watch and/or listen to the game.
