The Buffalo Bills and New York Giants meet in Week 2 of the NFL season, with both teams heading in opposite directions following their respective openers.
Buffalo (1-0) is riding high after rallying from a 16-point deficit to shock the New York Jets, 17-16 in the season opener. Wide receiver John Brown (seven catches for 123 yards and the game-winning touchdown), running back Devin Singletary (four rushes for 70 yards and five receptions for 28 yards), wide receiver Cole Beasley (five catches for 40 yards), and defensive tackle Ed Oliver (two tackles; spent much of the day harassing quarterback Sam Darnold) enjoyed great debuts with the Bills.
Josh Allen overcame four first-half turnovers to direct three second-half scoring drives. He completed 8 of 10 passes for 103 yards with a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown over Buffalo’s final two drives of the game, culminating in a 38-yard touchdown toss to John Brown to give the Bills the lead for good.
Meanwhile in Dallas, the Giants took an early 7-0 lead in their opener vs. the Dallas Cowboys, but the Giants allowed Dak Prescott to throw for 405 yards with four touchdowns and a perfect QB rating of 158.3 as Dallas handed the G-Men a 35-17 setback in the opener.
This is the 13th meeting all-time between these teams. The Giants lead the series 7-6 and won the last match-up—a 24-10 victory—Oct. 4, 2015 at New Era Field. Buffalo’s last win came during the 2003 season, when the Bills handled the Giants by a score of 24-7 on Nov. 30 in New Jersey.
