Devin Singletary not expected to play in Bills vs. Patriots, per report

The rookie returned to practice this week.

Buffalo Bills running back Devin Singletary is not expected to play against the New England Patriots today, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Singletary injured his hamstring late in Buffalo’s Week 2 win over the New York Giants and missed Week 3 against the Cincinnati Bengals. He returned to practice on Thursday of this week and was limited on both Thursday and Friday before being listed as questionable.

Last week, Frank Gore saw an increased workload and T.J. Yeldon saw his first extended game action as a member of the Bills as they replaced Singletary’s workload. Neither are as dynamic as the young running back, at least at this point in their careers.

Singletary was one of seven Bills listed as questionable for today’s game as mid-week injuries piled up for Buffalo. They didn’t make any Saturday roster moves, however, which should indicate that several of those players will be able to suit up.

On the other side, running back Rex Burkhead is expected to play for the Patriots. He was also listed as questionable with a foot injury.
