Buffalo Bills announce roster moves ahead of game against Tennessee Titans

LB depth is on the table.

The Buffalo Bills made it official on Monday with their final roster moves before the game against the Tennessee Titans. After moving him from the practice squad to the game day roster the last two weeks, the Bills have finally signed linebacker Deon Lacey to the active roster full-time. The max number of times you can promote a player for game days is two.

Lacey takes the roster spot of Del’Shawn Phillips, who has been out of commission with a quad injury. Though he looked like he was on track to return this week or next, Phillips heads to IR and Lacey takes the special teams LB spot for now.

The team announced one more roster move today as they waived Evan Boehm from their practice squad injured reserve. Boehm will get a chance to latch on with a team this season after he heals from his injury.

Buffalo will still be able to promote players from the practice squad to the game day roster up to 90 minutes before kickoff. With injuries at cornerback, it wouldn’t be surprising if Dane Jackson made his way to the roster Tuesday. They could call up OL Jordan Devey with Cody Ford and Brian Winters questionable.
