The Buffalo Bills will be without left guard Cody Ford for a period of time after head coach Sean McDermott said on Tuesday that the second-year player was week-to-week with a leg injury suffered against the Kansas City Chiefs.
During the broadcast, the FOX announcing crew did a nice job of showing the injury as Ford was rolled up on during an attempted third-and-short conversion. The Bills then ran to the line and the injured Ford got blown off the ball on the aborted four-down conversion.
Looking at this again, he grabs his knee at the end. Could be MCL too. They were testing the knee on the field. MCL would be better outcome. #BillsMafia https://t.co/w4uLVxL6zb

Buffalo is already down OG Jon Feliciano, who is working his way back from a training camp injury to his pec. He could be back in the lineup soon but is more likely targeting a return in Week 8 or beyond. McDermott told reporters he’s “heading in the right direction.”
“We’ll talk more about [activating Feliciano] today. [General manager] Brandon [Beane] and I have to revisit that this afternoon,” said McDermott.
Luckily, the Bills built great depth on their offensive line and Quinton Spain, their 2019 starter and 2020 opening day starter at left guard, should be able to step into the role for the time being.
