Injury update: Cam Lewis, Tyrel Dodson week to week

More Bills injuries

During the Buffalo Bills’ 26-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday, there were some key injuries and on Tuesday head coach Sean McDermott offered some updates on those players.

McDermott said that Cody Ford, Tyrel Dodson, and Cam Lewis will be week to week.

We did an entire article on Ford here, but the Bills have depth at the guard position and Quinton Spain can step into the role.

Lewis’s injury was to his wrist. He originally played several snaps at the team’s slot cornerback position, replacing incumbent starter Taron Johnson who re-entered the game. Levi Wallace is already on injured reserve and that will cost him one more week, so the Bills are short at cornerback. Dane Jackson and/or the recently signed Lafayette Pitts could both be in line for a practice squad call-up this week.

Dodson had a hamstring issue. With Matt Milano also out and possibly missing this weekend’s game, A.J. Klein is in line for an even larger role. The Bills added Deon Lacey a couple weeks ago but he’s mostly a special teams player.

In addition to those updates, McDermott added that John Brown is also not 100 percent recovered from his his knee injury. He was shown limping early in last night’s game.
