For the second week in a row the Buffalo Bills will face an opponent from the NFC West. Last week it was Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks and this week it’s Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals. It is the first time the Bills have faced the Cardinals since 2016 so let’s get to know the team from the Grand Canyon State.

2020 Year to Date
The Cardinals currently sit at 5-3 and are tied for second place in a very competitive NFC West. Their last two games have come down to the wire. Before their Week 8 bye they lost to the Seahawks in overtime and last week they lost to the Miami Dolphins after missing a game-tying field goal with just under two minutes left in regulation.
Head Coach
Kliff Kingsbury is in his second season as an NFL head coach, both with Arizona. He joined the Cardinals after being fired as the head coach of Texas Tech and resigning as offensive coordinator at USC just a month after accepting the job. He is 10-13-1 (.438 W-L%) as an NFL head coach.
Offensive Coordinator
Kingsbury handles play calling duties for Arizona and does not have an offensive coordinator on staff. The highest ranking offensive assistant is Tom Clements whose official title is passing game coordinator/quarterbacks coach. Clements and Kingsbury’s offense currently ranks first in the league in yards per game and sixth in the league in points per game.
Defensive Coordinator
Unlike the offense, Kliff has handed over the reigns of his defense to a coordinator. Vance Joseph, the former Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator and Denver Broncos head coach, is that man. He is in his second year with the Cardinals and his 16th in the NFL. His defense is currently ranked 19th in yards per game allowed and eighth in points per game allowed.
